Just a followup to make sure your Clubs don't get left out of year-end awards and events. As you know, this is the first time our District has had the R. I. Vice President, Rotary Foundation Board of Trustees Chair, and the Rotary International President keynoting events in our District! End your year on the high you and your Club deserve! (Please reply to District Governor.)
TRF DINNER BOOKLET INFO NEEDED: We are working on completing the Booklet for our May 29th District Foundation Dinner Celebration, with Keynoter Dr. Bob Scott, Chairman of the Rotary Foundation Board of Trustees, to be held at The Beeches in Rome. 1.) If you have a new Paul Harris Fellow, new Multiple PHF's, new Sustaining Members, new Paul Harris Society Member, or new Major Donor, make sure to let me know so they get recognized at the event by Dr. Scott and listed in the booklet (please email me that information so we can do a copy/paste into the booklet to save typing time). 2.) In additioin, all current Paul Harris Fellows, Sustaining Members, Major Donors, etc. are listed in the booklet, so I need these from your clubs also. 3.) All of these folks will get an invitation to the Private Reception prior to the Dinner, where they will go through a receiving line to meet Dr. Scott in person, and get their pictures taken with him. Award listings, registration form & agenda found here.
COG AWARD BOOKLET INFO NEEDED: We will be putting together a Commemorative Booklet for our June 23rd District Changing of the Guard celebration event, with Keynoter Rotary International President Wilf Wilkinson, to be held at Turning Stone Resort. 1.) We will be awarding Presidential Citations, and those Clubs will be listed in the Booklet. 2.) In addition, there are numerous District awards, and those who receive these will also be listed in the booklet. There are several Clubs who qualify for these awards, but have not yet submitted them. Don't miss out! 3.) All of these folks will get an invitation to the Private Reception prior to the Dinner, where they will go through a receiving line to meet President Wilf in person, and get their pictures taken with him. April 27th – May 14th: GSE team Multi-Club presentation schedules - Please email AG Sam Crisino numbers of attendees so he can inform the restaurants of the numbers from his Area Clubs. I will be at each event and look forward to seeing you. You don’t want to miss the opportunity to hear this team and see their pictures!
May 10th Membership Retention event – AG’s will be emailing me numbers from their Area Clubs (or Club leaders may do so). Send a least one member from your Club to get the information being shared by RI Zone presenter Dan Mooers and RI Zone presenter Mark Kreibel. Also hear our Speech contestants. $5.00 pre-registration includes Breakfast & Lunch.

Dear fellow Rotarians, Club Officers, AG’s:
Items of Note:
At 2:00am on March 31st, 2008, the District 7150 team (composed of District Governor Marlene Brown and eClub NY1 Rotarians Earl Lewis and Brad Brown) returned from our trip to Haiti. After a few hours sleep, Earl (District Grants Chair) and I spent the day completing the Matching Grant for our Water project in Haiti. View pictures and blog.
We also submitted additional Matching Grants for our ongoing India project. View additional information. Donations to either one of these can be used toward Paul Harris Fellow or Major Donor Credit. We’ll start listing Clubs who donate to these projects soon.
* Schedules are coming in from our AG’s, who have been working with our Club President’s on a multi-club meeting schedule for our GSE team presentation. There will be no individual Club presentations. I’ll collate the schedule and put up on website by week’s end.
* DGE Larry Calabrese reminds you of our April 19th District Assembly.
* With membership always an issue for Rotarians, make plans to attend our District wide Membership Retention Seminar on April 26th. Cost is only $5.00!
* Make sure to report Club membership figures to our District Secretary so Credo stays accurate.

Information on Membership Recruitment & Retention which was shared by AG Jim Gascon, AG Paul Scott & Fulton Sunrise Rotary Club President Diane Cooper-Currier. With membership growth always an issue for we Rotarians, this information will help your Club efforts & your attainment of the Presidential Citation.
Congratulations to the following D-7150 Rotary Clubs who applied for, and were granted, 2007-08 District Simplified Grants by the D-7150 Foundation Committee: Fulton noon, New Hartford, Canastota, eClub, Sherrill, Kuyahoora Valley, Sauquoit, Oswego, Baldwinsville, ClayCiceroN.Syracuse. The DSG report is required for release of these funds, along with the District Voucher.

The following were awarded: Fulton $345 Sudan well & $300 ARC campout; New Hartford $645 smoke detectors; Canastota $645 Nicaragua medical mission; Sherrill $250 park benches; Kuyahoora Valley $345 Teen open mic nite & $300 July 3rd concert; Sauquoit $500 Bicycle Rodeo; Oswego $654 Polio awareness; eClub $500 Rotary kids booth; Baldwinsville $450 Park trail; Clay/Cicero/N.Syr $241 Books on Wheels; Oswego Rotaract $300 Polio/Water Awareness.
